Thank you for this. Just installed. ST app really just doesn’t update and constantly crashes. Amazing that they keep changing things and making it worse.
If devices need to be controlled or monitored there is an alternative app called Home remote, it ties into the backend of ST allowing access to devices, you cannot create or edit automations but it does work on all devices, new and old
It should be useful until ST sort out the app issues
I used to be an Android user and ST app worked (mostly), switched to iOS and the new app, and can’t complain enough. Frequent crashes, slow to respond to simple onn/off commands, delayed refresh and so on…

How does one replace or implement the automations (such as location-based) that run on the SmartThings iOS app?
