Android 2.2.5 - Release Notes

SmartThings Android 2.2.5 includes several fixes for performance and enhanced stability. A couple key fixes include:

  • Updated App to use new permissions model
  • Added battery optimization dialog for Android Nougat devices
  • Fixed getting push notification for wrong accounts
  • Fixed better handling of web links
  • Fixed various widget issues
  • Fixed various crashes

Oh my, new permissions model? tell us more

Android has new permissions models

So Close…

Sigh… I was hoping for some control of user permissions… guess that feature is right up there with backup and transfer tool.

@slagle device health check didn’t make the cut did it…

I cannot reset SMH; App crashes. Now I am stuck getting texts every hour. :rage:

Man, that’s a dangerous one. Cross pollination is a serious concern for any cloud provider.

If you haven’t already, send in a support request to support@smartthings.com with the steps to reproduce. You should be able to do this still through the Marketplace.

Is text misalignment in devices ever going to be fixed on Android?

Another Friday afternoon rollout ?!?!?!? Haven’t we learned our lesson on that yet ?

Is it 2.2.5 or 2.2.6? Mine just updated to 2.2.6…

I also got a 2.2.6 today. Is there a release note on that?
Thanks

Considering the quick timing of the point release, I’m guessing it would be Bug fixes.
