Woo hoo! Have been waiting for this. Lots of immediate uses. I have a friend who uses hearing aids who just can’t understand Alexa’s responses: we’re hoping the video displays will work there. Totally handsfree video calling is also a big plus for me, even though right now it’s only to people with an Alexa device or the Alexa app.
I don’t even know what all the features are yet and I ordered two already.

That’s going to be really nice. I have a friend who is a full quad, can only move her head a little. Siri works well for her EXCEPT she has terrible cellphone reception inside her home. So she has had to have other people place her calls. She does use an Echo, so this will be a real plus for her, at least for reaching her contact list.
Looks like it. When I first looked at the page this morning, you could choose black or white–now only white. Unless they’re going to do a trickle release and and add some availability over the day.
Google be aware … Nest has been excluded. Works with Ring and Arlo for cams, ecobee and ‘others’ for thermostats. Would Amazon be successful without Nest!!!

Now… I guess I ought to order one; though I’ll be rather miffed if it has browser issues. (no jinx! ).
