All 7 temp/water sensors went offline at 6am EDT this morning

All 7 of my temp/water sensors went offline at 6am EDT this morning. One did have a low battery, rest were fine. I’ve had them 7-8 years without a single problem, I just periodically replace batteries. I have no idea what could be going wrong. Any ideas?

Were they using custom groovy Device types ?
Are they using Edge drivers ?

If using custom groovy device types they will no longer work unless you install new drivers for the devices

What is the device type?

Sorry for the lack of specifics. I don’t use custom anything. These are SmartThings brand I think using whatever handles or driver’s automatically is assigned to them when I hooked them up 8 years ago. At least that’s what I remember. I do remember being surprised to also get the temperature from them, but I don’t remember if I had to do anything special to get it.

I’ve looked in the Ide a handful of times over the eight years, but did little. I didn’t think I’d have many migration problems because I try to use minimal customers. I even use the SmartThings app, no pistons, etc etc.

I’m not sure. I don’t think so.
What device type should they be using? They are old SmartThings branded water temp sensors

I’m sure that’s very frustrating. :disappointed_relieved: as others have said, it’s probably part of the automatic migration to the new architecture. Hopefully it will be an easy fix.

Start by going to the Advanced page of the new web interface

my.SmartThings.com/advanced

You can just take a screenshot of the information there for the sensor and post it, and it should give us the manufacturer, the model, the protocol, and what edge driver is being used. :thinking:

@JDRoberts
There have been a few reports of ST gen1 devices not tansitioning properly, until we know more i have a feeling these could possibly be impacted as well

Thank you everyone for the help.
@JDRoberts I think you helped me around 7 years ago or so. I do not remember the issue, but I remember the name. Thank you again.

I made a dumb mistake that I discovered just now and have corrected it. So my sensors are back online.
I just replaced my hue v1 bridge with a v2 so SmartThings can now work with it again. I was this far from throwing SmartThings out, because I also have a couple of dual relay controls ([Enerwave ZWN-RSM2]), to control ceiling light/fan combo. So, I have control of one of the two, but lost the other. Still trying to figure that one out. There is a long and convoluted post on it, but everything I tried didn’t work. Any pointers would be appreciated.
