Hello,
I bought a Samsung soundbar Q800D/ZC. It’s advertised to have Bixby and Alexa Built-in.
I’m failing to enable Alexa since Day-1.
FYI: I was able to have Bixby enable, just to test after Alexa failed.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open SmartThing app (I tested on iOS, iPadOS and Android, no luck each time).
- Open the Soundbar control
- Access Service tab on the bottom
- Access “Voice Assistant Settings”
- Select “Alexa”.
- Start the registration process: Sign In, Continue, Log into Amazon, Tap “Allow”
- The popup window close and a loading animation starts.
- After approx 10sec, the animation disappears, and Alexa is still not enabled.
- New message in the “Voice Assistant Settings” : “Alexa Settings / Settings have not been completed. Click to continue setup.”
- Click on the message
- Click again on Sign In / Continue / Allow
- Loading animation for 10 sec and then it stops.
In the end, I’m not able to either use the Alexa Built-In the soundbar (like advertised) or even send music on the soundbar through other Echo devices…
Can someone help? @Lars ?
