Alexa-controlled, S.T. security system stopped working after upgrading Apps last weekend

I doubt if it had anything to do with ADT, because a lot of people are reporting problems from last weekend regardless of the devices involved. There were actually three separate sets of problems.

1. If you are getting a message from Amazon that smartthings is not responding, see the following thread. This is a known problem and they are supposed to be working on it.

Alexa works but she thinks she doesn't (November 2017)

I have searched a little and have not found anything on this so I do apologize if there is another topic out there. I am just starting out with ST and only have it integrated with Amazon Echo and Harmony at the moment. Currently, if I tell alexa to “turn on Netflix in Living Room” she will say, “sorry, I am having trouble connecting to smartthings” but then the Harmony activity will trigger and it works perfectly. There is not even but a 1 sec delay if that. So, my questions are, has anyone else experienced this false response and if so is there a way to fix it? thanks, Scott

Two. If you use webcore as any part of the set up, it broke because of daylight savings time. There’s a fix for that one. See the following.

Webcore Pistons not firing (November 5, 2017)

Anybody else have any problems with webcore pistons not firing today? I can turn individual things on and off from the phone app so that’s working fine, but no pistons are working. No logs are being created which suggests webcore isn’t picking up the command from the phone Any ideas?

3. If this is just a general, “things that were working fine for months have now stopped working,” see the following thread. It’s not clear whether all the problems reported there are all related to each other, but they all happened around the same time.

SmartThings Current Stability?

Are there any known issues currently with SmartThings? Since the beginning of the week I’ve been having an extraordinary amount of problems which is strange considering I normally have none. Currently my devices are ‘sticking’ when turning them on / off via the app e.g. When I click ‘On’ the button changes to ‘Turning On’ and stays like that, until I press it furiously! Clicking into individual devices e.g. to change colour of a bulb, and I’m faced with a message that says “Device currently unavailable” Trying to turn on a simple bulb tonight via Alexa, I’m told 'Sorry… Sofa Lamp is currently not available". Looking at the ‘Recently’ tab of various devices sees a stupid amount of polling by Amazon Alexa e.g. “Amazon Alexa (UK) sent refresh command to Sofa Lamp”. This happens tw…

There is also a separate Alexa problem which has to do with the new Alexa feature for their routines, but that wouldn’t be something which had been working for months and then stopped.
