Aeotec Energy Meter + Smartthings Energy?

Hello,

Bought an Aeotec Energy Meter Gen5, everything seems fine, good reads. On Smartthings Energy I got a popup yesterday saying something like “a new meter has been found, data will be updated tomorrow morning”… Well, so far no updates, and I can only see the electricity consumption of my appliances that connect directly to Smartthings such as Dryer, ACs, etc.

I expected something like, my overall consumption measured by the Aeotec meter being fed into Smartthings Energy, and hopefully that getting accounted as 100% of my consumption with the other devices showing their individual consumptions. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense to sum those 2 values up.

Anyway, I have this for more than 24h and I didn’t see that popup again, nor I can find a way to see if it is indeed setup on Smartthings Energy. Is there a way to confirm this? Also, does anyone know if my line of thought is accurate?

Edit: On the Aeotec Meter widget I see 4,4kwh consumed since I setup the device (yesterday) and on Smartthings Energy I have 0,92kwh. So, this proves the Meter info is not being fed into Smartthings Energy.

I’ve no experience of that device, and I find SmartThings Energy rather strange, particularly in the way it seems to differentiate between ‘energy’ and ‘gas’.

I’d be looking in the Energy app Settings with a particular interest in the Measurement Method.
