Yup, I waited multiple hours. I removed it from my hub and added it back and now it’s stuck on dry instead of wet. I set it up to notify me if it senses water and turn all of my lights to 100% and the instant I touch it to water that happens but it still says dry in my smartthings app.
Does your Aeotec water sensor report battery life check in under activity? I can verify that mine is working by digging into my fountain sump and pulling it out of the water (mine reports wet all the time since I’m using it to make sure that I have sufficient water in my fountain sump) but thats a big hassle (as is digging up & unwrapping the controller to push the wake button)
How do I know that its still working and that the battery is still good? Or do I just trust the app is updating?
Mine recently was stuck on dry so I added water before checking it (dumb, I know.) it didn’t seem to be working so I removed and then re-added it so smartthings. Now i get nothing under the activity tab but it is reporting in as wet.
Can this sensor be reversed as in report dry state instead of wet? I use this sensor in Vera to report when a water tank is empty but have not been able to figure out how to do this in smartthings.
Anyone getting battery updates with new app?
My battery seems to be updating. I just put in fresh batteries and it’s showing 100%. However, it might have been working when it was set as a normal open\close sensor. See my post here: Aeon Labs DSB45 Water Sensor
