Hi I am looking for a plug-in module that illuminates the LED when it is powering the connected devise ON. And the LED is off when not sending power. Please recommend your favorite. Thanks .
Do you mean a power outlet / plug?
What country are you in?
Andrew,
I am in the USA. What I am interested in is a controllable external unit that plugs into a 120 Volt three prong wall outlet. Thank you for soliciting the clarification.
Best regards,
Kelly Cushing
outdoor:
all have Matter support or you can choose the non-Matter versions… your choice. They are also sold in a pack of one.
I really like the Zooz products myself. Go here and look at the various options: Smart Plugs – ZOOZ
There are indoor only, outdoor devices and ones for larger loads, some can measure power consumption real time and cumulative, single and dual plugs, etc. I have almost all of these deployed and I love them. LEDs are programmable on and off and various brightness and the colors for what states. I typically buy them at the ck ck www.thesmartesthouse.com in particular during sales I stock up ahead of projects. They also are excellent on supporting different issues and wiring and so does Zooz. You can also buy at Amazon. Zooz support has also been excellent in my experience like unique or challenging wiring. Zooz has many products with S2 and LR radios also and more have been using the 800 Zwave Radios which have extended distances and penetrations on walls, etc.
Just ensure your hub supports z-wave if you get Zooz
Thank you for these suggestions. I am leaning towards the Zoos because of the full product line and support. The Kasa suggestion is helpful to my sister who is jus getting started which smart home interest and leans toward Google ecosystem. Cheers.
Yeah, you must have Zwave. I avoid Wifi devices as much as possible for many reasons and find Zwave to be the most reliable and with the newer LR radios, they tend to have far better reach and penetration on walls and various impairments.
