Ok, I know what you’re going to tell me… that we have Sonos, cell phones and other devices that can act like an alarm clock… but… you reeeeeally have to take a look at this!
and no, I’m not a part of that company… just in case… lol! I’m just your regular “Joe” looking for things that make SmartThings even better than it is!
I’m probably in a minority here on this, because in general, I prefer an old-school completely unconnected alarm clock just because there’s fewer points of failure (with built-in battery backup and a plug to the wall, it’s basically bulletproof… whereas you hear all the time about bugs in phone alarms causing issues, or if the phone freezes there could be an issue… or where if my power or internet go out with SmartThings that’d cause issues).
What really struck me about this one though is that it’s voice-controlled. That one would be really dangerous for me when I’m laying in bed and telling the alarm to turn off so I could sleep more.
