Zigbee mesh sonoff Minizb

Hi,
Sonoff MiniZB can be use to extend the zigbee net?

It is usually best to ask the device manufacturer, as it is up to them. And the answer can vary from model to model.

But if you just mean the standard Sonoff ZBMINI model, then, yes, it acts as a Zigbee repeater. The technical Zigbee term for this is “router.”

Thanks, but if i have one zb switch far from the hub and i put in the middle another zb switch the RSSI value does not improve, I have always - 91 / 93 that seems to be too much.
Correct?

There are a couple of possibilities.

First, what are you using to report the RSSI? Different tools report in different ways. I’m not sure what’s available in smartthings right now, someone else will have to comment on that, but in 2022 it only showed the RSSI for the very last hop on the route. And at one point it was only updated once a day.

Second, did you do a “Zigbee heal“ after adding the new repeater? If not, the end device may not be using the new repeater yet.

To do a zigbee heal, take your smartthings/Aeotec hub off power (including removing batteries if it has them). Leave it off power for 20 to 30 minutes. Leave all your other devices on power during this time. This will cause the other devices to go into “panic mode“ because they can’t reach the hub and then when you do put the hub back on power, the routing tables will be rebuilt. Note that this process can take a few hours to complete, so you might want to wait until the next day to check for results.

Thanks a lot, I will do the heal tonight… and the I will let you know
