Z-WAVE switch - Hold / Long Press / Double Tap

Hi Friends,

I am on my next mission to build and app to trigger events when i Hold (Long Press) or Double Tap a Z-Wave switch.

Another option could be when switch already ON or OFF and i Press Once or Double Tap or Hold trigger events…

I am not satisfied by the app “Double Tap Switch” and would like to try to improve it.

Any suggestion will be very appreciated!

I gave up on timing based switch modes in favor of using states, and simply incrementing them when repeated on or off events are received.

I am not sure what it means…

Does it means that i can not work on a solution holding a z-wave switch ON or OFF for X seconds?
Could you provide an example of any possible solution?

I have found timing to be unreliable. Better to press on for scene 1, press on again for scene 2, etc. See ‘rotate ham and switch’ at:
