As I posted above, I find it hard to believe the standards body has this requirement as it is exactly opposite to everything that this particular standards body has officially said up until now. I would like to see a statement from the Zwave alliance if they are changing the requirement for backwards compatibility with certified legacy devices. That would be a huge change for the Z wave brand.
