+1 for Zone 2 support!
This actually works on a 2011 Marantz SR5006! Awesome.
I donāt see why not, what make and model do you have?
Hi,
I have 2 models actually. A Denon x2200 and a 2113ci.
Iāll look into itā¦
What do you need to do with the zone 2. Just to be able to switch between zones?
I would think at least volume control but changing source would be useful
I created a piston in CoRe that polls the device when TV is turned on and off. It would also work well if you have a motion sensor near by. I donāt like heavy polling, but you could also schedule the ārefreshā periodicallyā¦
I think if you switch to zone 2, then the existing volume command will operate the active zone. Iāll double check to see if there are independent volume commandsā¦
That would make sense - good point.
Right now I use the Denon iOS app for Zone 2 to Power on/off, input change,
and volume change.
Would be great to automate with ST.
Sneak peek cleaned up the UI a little. Added the mute to the main tile. Added DVD input. Next zone 2 switch and surround modes. I am trying to cycle through the modes rather than adding individual tiles for music, movie, game and pure sound, but itās being a pain.
Bobby, can you post your version? Thanks, M
Will do it later today. I didnāt get a chance to work on the zone 2 nor the surround modes, thatās why I didnāt publish it, yetā¦
Howād you get Alexa to switch inputs on the receiver? Iām scratching my head trying to get it to work.
Stop scratching and get busy installing CoRE lolā¦there are many ways of doing it. Core can utilize individual switches for each input
Also a virtual switch can do it. Also there was an app at the top of the threadā¦
This looks good please post when you can! Input switching via a single button isnāt a bad idea but I almost think individual tiles are better. You can customize the tiles to be only the inputs you actually use, and for the wife itās a lot easier to figure out what to get too haha
Lots of reading here, thread says the handler is withdrawn but resurrected or somethingā¦
Just a few questions to hopefully clarify. If I were to purchase a Marantz NR1607 receiver today, would I be able to use SmartThings to control it?
Would I be able to power it on/off?
Select/Change inputs?
Adjust volume?
Select speakers A/B/Both/Neither?
With exception of the speaker select, everything else youād probaby be able to control using one of the handlers in this thread. I believe there is one specific to Marantz several posts aboceā¦if you cannot get it to work, someone on this thread will help, I am sureā¦

Thanks⦠I already know the great folks in this place would assist.
Trying to decide whether to take this big step. I already have an older Denon receiver whose only flaw is that the remote has gotten a bit iffy⦠but there is no replacement remote available, and a good universal remote is expensive. So itās likely either a new networked Denon or Marantz, or just live with the current scenario.
Not gonna rush it.
