Thanks for the replies… do you know where to get non-tuya zigbee devices. i was shopping on amazon but most of the zigbee stuff says “for tuya hub” or “moes hub”…, ug
I have the following Zemismart (Tuya) ZigBee 6 button remote. It is old and pre-Edge. It works directly with ST using a community driver, but does not work via the Moe’s Bridge. It does press, hold and double press.
I buy some smart devices on AliExpress. There ZigBee stuff is mostly Tuya, but they also have some Sonoff/eWeLink stuff.
The Sonoff/eWeLink will pair directly with ST using community drivers. They will probably pair with the Moes Gateway but will not show up in ST as Matter devices.
Amazon has ThirdReality, Sonoff, Aqara, Sengled, Aeotec, and Enbrighten ZigBee devices. None of these are Tuya.
cool. i went to Zemismart website and ug, a lot of their stuff says “tuya”, ive tried so many Tuya devices and none of them work with ST…
I have a ewelink and it works with ST.
If you are talking about devices directly paired with ST, this happens because they pair as a genetic ZigBee device and ST throws in everything except the kitchen sink. You need to use community drivers with the right fingerprints and presentations. @Mariano_Colmenarejo has lots of ZigBee drivers for most things except for battery powered multi-button devices
You need to find the right custom drivers. They are out there for many devices.
and a bunch of Matter bulbs that work great, was just trying to find multi button wireless switches so (my wife) can control lights with buttons…
(drivers) ya that’s what i keep reading.
If they are Wi-Fi devices, you may be out of luck.
If they are Zigbee devices, see the community FAQ:
FAQ: Using Tuya Zigbee Devices Directly With a SmartThings/Aeotec Hub (2024)
Depending on the country you are in, there are lots of other brands of multi button wireless switches that will work with SmartThings and don’t have the proprietary code issues that tuya devices do.
Thanks for the link JD… well some of these stupid things say "wifi but there matter over wifi…
I have stayed away from “wifi” devices…
This is the driver I use with the 6 button Zemismart remote.
If you have devices you can get working with post as description as and fingerprints and people will help you find a driver.
Ikea buttons work with ST but you need custom drivers. @mocelet can help you with Ikea buttons.
Not if they are Tuya-made devices: Tuya has not let released any “matter over Wi-Fi“ wireless switches that I know of, although they may in the future.
But regardless of brand, if they are indeed individually certified for “matter over Wi-Fi“ then they should work with SmartThings with the usual requirements.
FAQ: What do I need to add a Matter device to the SmartThings app? Do I need a bridge router device?
All of this is off-topic for this thread, though, so I’m going to move it to a new thread about wireless switches.
Moes and Zeimsmart both Tuya brands have Matter over WiFi devices. Plus they are a lost of white label Matter over WiFi devices on AliExpress that I suspect are Tuya based.
My bad, I meant to say “matter over Wi-Fi wireless switches“ since that seem to be what the OP was looking for.

I concur with that. I don’t see any Tuya Matter buttons.
except for battery powered multi-button devices
And for multi-button battery devices, we can use Eric’s drivers because I am using one of his for my dimmer button which I am actually using as a normal button.
Could not be happier with this:
