I’m looking for other options as well. Waiting for electrician’s advise if he can really add the neutral line. I bought some yeelight bulbs. Not sure if it will work.
Hi, i’ve been alwo looking for a smart wall switch that works with 220v without neutral wire. Im also from the Philippines
I bought a new hub but the welcome code isn’t working. Please help.
Hi Jaydeeado, please advise if you were able to use ST in the Philippines. Also interested to buy but not sure if this works fine especially for home security? TIA
Any updates on this one?
I tried ordering via amazon. I don’t know if it’ll work here in the philippines. I’ll just take a leap of faith on this one.
I’m currently using a TP link smart switch and it works. I don’t know about Smart Things Hub and all those sensors.
Yeelight app then incorporate to st app, amazon or google home since di na need ng hub nyan. dipende na lang if incorporate mo sa sensor etc.
st v2 will work fine, but for st v3 will be a pain in the ass before you can make it work.
better to buy wink or st v2, if you will use it here in ph. avoid buying st v3 and check the voltage of smart thing gadget you will buy. hub is auto volts but for sockets and light mostly is on 110 volts.
need mo pa help?
Hi I was able to enter the code. I will probably need help sa pag setup ng yeelight app sa st v2. Pero under construction pa house namin. I will post some questions in the future
they will work in the Phils. Mine been working for 12 months. All sensors US version. The thick walls will limit the zwave range. make sure you put ST in middle of all your sensors. ST V2 is auto voltage. Sonoff switches are also used for appliances. for your itead Sonoff touch switches, you need neutral, else it wouldn’t work ( i have a few for sale if you’re interested, already flashed) House (weather resistant housing) your door sensor if you’re installing it on gate/driveway gate. Wait for the Aeotec 6 siren/chime to be released, the dome/zooz chime works good but battery last 6-8 months. I use fortrezz siren (plugged in) for main siren
if you want 110 for you 110 wired appliances, then downconvert using ACUPWR (non–better) then put a sonoff behind it. for my 110 printer, i put a sonoff in front of the acupwr so i can control it with google home, alexa or ST.
I’m thinking of switching to Ring Alarm because of the keypad. All sensors can be reused by Ring Alarm. Will test the costco ring package.
I uses ST V.2 (US) in Thailand that also 220v and it’s working well.
ST hub can use with 220v but other need converter (outlet, siren)
I uses smart switch from Xiaomi (aqara wall switch) - it’s 220v and no neutral need version that working well.
I also uses Osram lightify LEDs that order from UK which 220v support and use Zigbee signal.
About 1 year, my Osram broke 3 bulbs (out of 15 bulbs) that I didn’t plan to send it back to claim the new one because it’s not worth shipping cost.
just pm me if ever. willing to help you.
ST hub v2 works qonder and easy to set up. but i cant find someone able wo set up st hub v3 in philippines.
i think its the same setup but you use the new smarthings connect app which i hate. I don’t think you can use custom device handlers on the new app, means you can’t use the sonoff switches
Thanks sa reply.
bought the v3, hindi na detect ng smart things app on google. hindi ma add yung hub. ill try other stuff muna.
Same here sumakit ulo ko dyan ayun naka tambak lang sa bodega ang ST v3 ko. im using ST v2 now.\
Sir al, yung v2 mag wowork po xa with the new smart things sensors?
Yes it will.
