I recently bought a house that has an existing ADT system, but I decided not to continue on the service. Am I able to utilize the existing sensors, motion detectors and smoke alarms with Smartthings? Do I have to remove all of the ADT hardware to do so? I would appreciate any help or guidance.
No, you can’t. There’re ways to integrate some alarm panels and sensors with SmartThings, but they’re not straightforward and not for the faint of heart.
