I am not sure of the relevance here. Personally I don’t care who got it first. Did you think I was slamming android? I was not. My point was that both android and iOS have it. I truly do not understand why a choice in OS has to be a competition for consumers.[/quote]
Apparently you didn’t see (or just ignored) my previous response to you where I explained how to understand what is being talking about here by paying attention to the context of these comment. Here it is again:
“He wasn’t saying there is any difference. If you read the quote he was responding to, as well as my comments about that quote in my post he was replying to that ought to give you the context necessary to understand his comment.”
This all stems from a comment I made about an assertion by an author of an article on HomeKit that I provided a link to. It has nothing to do with an OS competition or other virtual urinary Olympiad.

That’s the point exactly… android users are like hey Apple… welcome to today… and apple users are all like hey… we got it to…
Kind of makes me think of the last drive in the race wanting a trophy because he crossed the finish line too.
It doesn’t matter that it’s there… now… what everyone is talking about is that it takes forever fires apple to even notice that something exists… and then they take credit for all of the work…
I don’t care who takes the credit. I don’t care who had it first. What I care is that when I have a problem that needs a solution, there is a solution available that fits my budget.
That’s why I stay brand agnostic.

Oh laughed out loud on that one. Their devices have their place for sure, I in no way deny that. HONEST! But my house is not that place. I figure the kids learn to troubleshoot better having Android and Windows everywhere in the house. They come to me asking to fix Java so Minecraft will work again, I laugh, they eventually figure it out. Win-Win!
Your comments have no relevance to the original post all you’re doing is trying to be a hater now.

Most of the post in the thread have no relevance to the original post… and I’m not hating… I’m laughing… I don’t care about brand, I care about features and quality.
@keo, let it go, we’re just discussing and things go off course all the time. Most of it IS relevant as we have been explaining why there isn’t official support, Apple takes their time to partner and bring features to market. They have either no desire to do so officially (not shocking since SmartThings is so open) or they are just being themselves and doing it very slowly/methodically.
