vEdge creator for garage door?

You setup all 4 routines? 2 of them should be setting the status of the virtual garage door (last 2 of my screenshots).

Thanks that may be it. I will try it tomorrow. I had in my head that the routines were for 2 garage doors ( that’s what I’m setting up). Assumptions always get me. I will let you know if successful.

Got it working! Thanks @Rodd62. Not as straight forward as I expected but all good now.

Fantastic news! It’s definitely more routine work that I’d like, but it’s been reliable for me since I set it up a year ago.

I have automated my garage door with Shelly Uni, i.e. one switch to tell whether it’s fully closed or not, and the relay to momentarily close the button switch circuit.

I was wondering if it’s possible to separate the button on the vEdge GarageDoor device from the door, now it always opens or closes the vEdge GarageDoor immediately. I’d rather want it to just run a rule to activate the Shelly relay, and have the GarageDoor state only change when the Shelly switch changes state. Is that possible?

With this setting Do not Synch, you can prevent the switch from influencing the contact sensor’s state.

Yes, I noticed this, but how do you then create a rule which changes the door state, based on the actual physical switch state?

Could you tell us a little more how the Shelly Uni digital input is show in ST App (Is it switch or contact?)

Shelly UNI relay and digital input are both shown as ‘c2c-switch’ type device. I just followed these instructions, and all my Shelly devices were added into Smartthings: https://www.shelly.com/en-fi/use-shelly-for/smart-assistants/samsung-smartthings

You can try these routines:

Remember to unselect the functions of the switch

Ah, that was it. I didn’t think I could unselect the radio buttons, so that there’s none selected! It works now, even without the ‘For 10 seconds’

It is not stated anywhere. You just have to know it.

Sorry to zombie this post, but I setup all 4 routines with the zooz switch. I what the virtual garage door settings as on=closed, and don’t sync switch/door control. The wall controls work as expected but the virtual button isn’t working as expected. Is your setup still working as expected?

I’m sorry to hear yours isn’t working.

Mine is hit or miss as the sensor doesn’t always register correctly. I just checked and my door is out of sync but the sensor is reporting incorrectly. Then virtual switch is working as expected, though.
