No worries! Everyone in the community is willing to help, and there’s a ton of information around the site. It can be hard at times to find what you’re looking for, so always as for help when you’re stuck!

I’ve looked everywhere for the PDF, but does anyone have the Centralite Pearl Installation Guide in PDF still? The company has closed down and no longer has their content uploaded.

Greetings all, first time posting here, and I didn’t even know there was an IDE site until today, when I stumbled on this thread trying to get my 3157100-WE to work with smartthings.

To assist other newbs, references to the IDE site mean: graph.api.smartthings.com

I, too, had the initial problem of the thermostat being detected as a generic “thing” that was stuck at “please wait.” The trick of signing into the IDE site & manually editing the device type to “Centralite Thermostat” solved the please wait issue. I was also able to access the temperature & mode settings via the classic SmartThings mobile app, consistent with the screenshots posted by radone. But like many others I want to be able to use the new smarthings app, primarily because of its tight integration with my Samsung Galaxy S10.

After some trial and error testing a few additional device types, I discovered that the one called “Zigbee Thermostat” seems to work well and provides all the settings I need via both the New and Classic mobile apps. Just thought I should share in case it helps others. @Chris_Borella @william_cooper

I’m still wondering about those day/time programming settings!

Garet, I’m having nothing but problems connecting my thermostat to my hub. I’ve followed all of these instructions but still I get the “please wait”. You said you connected yours through Smartthings using Zigbee Thermostat. Where did you find this because my classic and the newer app do not show it?

That’s the name of the device handler. Once your thermo joins, which it will only join as a “Thing”, go to the IDE and change its Type to Zigbee Thermostat. I recommend using the Classic app to join these, and you may need to remove and replace the front cover afterwards for battery level % to report correctly.

I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the help. Wish the would have it already listed as a device.
