Iā€™ve just seen Pal Brat posted the same solution.

I may have missed something here, but this was easy to do without any apps/drivers. Hereā€™s what I did:

In Google Home goto Devices, Add Device, Works With Google Home.
Link ST when prompted.
When device is added you can create a Google Home ā€˜Automationā€™ with your newly added ST device as the trigger:
Goto Automations, Add, Personal/Household, Add Starter, When Device does something, , Add Starter.
Next you add your action:
Add Action, Communicate and Announce, Make Announcement, Select Devices, (select Google Nest Devices as needed), Your Message, (type when you need it to say).
Done, done, save.
This seems to have a pretty quick response between ST & GH.

If your device isnā€™t easy to configure this way in Google Home, then you might need to link GH to an ST virtual device (e.g. a simple on/off) then have the status of that virtual device set On (then off again) by an ST routine, which can also be as simple or complex as you like.
