Unable to Create Code (Greyed Out) Using SLGA

We are using a Z-wave controlled Schlage door lock 469 to remotely manage our rental property. We’ve had no issues until a couple days ago creating a door code in the Smart Lock Guest Access.

We click “Invite Guest”, enter who will be using this lock, assign to lock (select our lock), then enter a 4 digit code. However, the option at the bottom of that screen “Create Code” remains greyed out.

We’ve tried on multiple phones (both iPhone). Uninstalled and reinstalled SmartThings app, uninstalled and reinstalled SGLA, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. I rebooted the hub remotely. It has Z-wave Drivers - philh30 installed.

I am able to set a code via the SmartThings advanced webpage, but that’s not exactly feasible long term. Anyone else experiencing this issue within the last week?

Mine stays greyed out until a minimum number of digits are added to the code field.

It won’t allow me to enter more than 4 characters which I do and it still stays greyed out.

I did notice one odd behavior. When the screen opens initially, it says “Enter 4 to 8 digits”. After I select lock, the wording changes to “Enter 8 to 4 digits”.

I don’t know if that is normal behavior.

Here are the drivers installed on the lock and drivers available. Should I switch to the Z-Wave Lock PH? My only hesitation is that the app gave a warning that changing the drivers may cause the device to stop functioning. We are remote so I couldn’t be able to physically reinstall the lock.

EDITED: updated drivers to Phil30 Z-Wave Lock PH and also Z-Wave lock PH Beta and Create Code still remains greyed out.

Hi, @cambyam
I asked the engineering team and they mentioned that the SLGA checks if all the conditions are met to be able to save the code.
You mentioned it used to work before, right?

  • Did you change something in the environment?
  • Is the code name similar in syntax than the other ones that were saved correctly?
  • Please open support access as instructed below and the device name to check its details.
