Temperature Sensors and Nest Thermostats

I have a couple of Nest Thermostats. I have been thinking of moving to ecobee since they have the nice feature of being able to have a remote sensor that can effect the control of the thermostat.

I wanted to see if there to emulate an ecobee like setup using the cheap temperature sensors from Xiaomi along with the nest thermostats.
