I personally use the Lowes Iris Motion detector. It is very small and sensitive and is ZigBee HA 1.2. You can pair it easily using community devicetypes and then get it to work locally by assigning the SmartSense Motion/Temp device type.

I decided to just go with the top poll.
I just deleted the 5 star review option.
Figured I’d just go with the main poll for now to keep it simple.

Yeah, @joshuairl great idea, but it doesn’t seem to be working in Chrome?!

It’s gone now, for me But why he general poll only? I think is very useful to have people rate individual experiences. For example, my first choice is Fibaro (5 stars), but that’s because Ecolink sucks (1 star), Smartsense lacks features and reliability (2 stars) and Aeon Gen 5 has issues but I’d chose it over both Ecolink & SmartSense (3 stars)
If a moderator could enable me to edit my original post I would add the 5 star voting to the original post. I think that would be most useful.

You can do that without moderator. Click the “pencil” icon.
Untrue actually, it’s not letting me add polls to my post without a moderator.
I’ve created reply post with the rating systems again.
If a moderator could move this to my main post and leave the first poll in place as well I’d love it.

@SBDOBRESCU Is there any reason why you feel the Ecolink sucks? (I like the price tag…) but many people have said they work great for them…?

You aren’t allowed to move, edit, or re-arrange polls after 5 minutes.
Even me. The argument being that if a poll is unfavorable to someones objective they can’t just remove it.

About Ecolink, it’s a personal opinion comparing to other sensors. I had more false alarms with them. If you want them to be pet imune, you need to play with little tags inside, but if you do so, the motion stays active for a long time. You need to keep them on ‘test’ mode to get them to deactivate quicker, but that increases the chances for false alarms. I have 5 of them and all react slow at motion, I had to place them in rooms that I don’t care if there is a Wink like lag when the lights come on.

So you’re saying if you’re using one to turn on a light… how long would you say it takes on average for the light to come on? or are you referring to something different? I do understand there is a difference between the time it takes to report motion again… I’m guessing the test mode is the 5 seconds and the regular mode is like 4 minutes or so?

It would be nice if you could select multiple sensors at the top, I have 3 different types. Also FYI, there are two versions of ST motion sensors.

Well… I did set it to type=multiple and min=1 and max=3 so it was supposed to allow up to 3 choices.
It also shows up to 3 choices in the preview when I go to edit my post…
@slagle any clue why it shows you can choose 3 of them in preview of my post but only allows 1 choice after published?
