Support for Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1

Hi there,

Does anyone know if the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 can be managed by Smartthings V2 hub? Either directly or through the Aqara E1 hub? Would be interested to hear from others if they were successful. Thanks!

Hi Alex,

I got it to connect to my Areotec Smatthings hub. it was listed as “thing” i then signed in to the IDE and changed the type to a Zigbee thermostat. It connects and fills out some of the information. The downside is that the IDE page is being closed as everything moves over to Edge drivers. I am sure someone who knows the edge codeing could make an Edge driver, but I dont know how to code :frowning:

Hi there,

Yes, that was what i ultimate ended up with. I am keeping this for now until everything has migrated once the IDE closes down. Hopefully it will migrate on its own seamlessly.

It is frustrating that IDE was shuttered before Edge migration was completed. I would have preferred the parallel ran for now. I’m using virtual switches with Alexa to allow me to work thermostat control into my scenes and routines but there is no back channel feedback to Smartthings. So I have added it to my sleep routine to stop it pre-heating the lounge as my morning routine kicks in but I cannot see the feedback.

I know how to code Edge , but I don’t have devices. if you are willing to provide units for development and testing we can figure out something

You can use @Mariano_Colmenarejo driver called zigbee thermostat MC. He was kind enough to add something that makes this connect to smartthings and you can adjust temperature hence open and close the valve! :ok_hand:t2:

Hi all,

Following up on this thread. The Zigbee Thermostat Mc driver has been working fine for me for months thanks to this forum.

Battery status is still not reporting though. It stays at 0%.

Any idea if this is supported at all?
