the only available out of the box remote accessible (storage) gas water heater solution is rheem, its home depots main brand for water heaters, same infrastructure is used for rheem hvac, right now only econet or homedepotā€™s hub ā€œwinkā€ (http://www.wink.com/products/rheem-econet-water-heaters/) works with it, this needs to be bumped up in priority. if not then some other gas water heater (whirlpool 6th sense?) needs to be supported, there are no gas water heaters being supported with smartthings hub currently.

It takes 2 hands to clap. Iā€™m pretty sure SmartThings are proactively seeking out to integrate with Rheem, itā€™s really up to Rheem if they are willing to do their part.

The use case for water heater isnā€™t a lot. However, Iā€™ve wrote this device type for water heater only if youā€™re interested. Itā€™s still a little buggy. I havenā€™t have the time to write the SmartApp to change the temperature when away.

I want a integrated IR blaster to control my ductless Mitsubishi air conditioner!

Blink for sure! A great camera option that is very affordable.

Everything looks great in prerelease. And like a great value. We wonā€™t have any idea what itā€™s really like, until itā€™s actually in production for general purchase.

I would really like to see the ability to control the Emerson Sensi Thermostat. It is a great thermostat with rock solid mechanical relays. Integration with Smartthings is all that is needed. It is the only reason I still have the Wink hub.

All great suggestionsā€¦

Let not forget a Locale Pluggin

I would like the Skylink wireless home security system to be compatible with the new system. How would it possible to make any wireless systems compatible with the Smart things hub?
Thanks,
JT

I wanted to through another vote for Lutron Caseta support. This is the one thing that kept me on the fence with SmartThings.

Anyone want to attempt a GM/OnStar integration? They seem to have APIs, although they require some approval first to get access - https://developer.gm.com/documentation. Could be similar to the Automatic integration - @yvesracine?

@obycode, I could certainly do itā€¦ But, I donā€™t own a GM car, so it would quite difficult for me to test the OnStar-ST integrationā€¦Unless, somebody would lend me a GM car with an OnStar subscription for a whileā€¦Iā€™d need the car for few weeks, thatā€™s allā€¦

Bye.

I saw this on an Amazon review of the product:
Works with SmartThings - Custom Driver Required.

Iā€™m using this switch to control my 240V well pump. It works well but isnā€™t directly
supported by SmartThings yet. Fortunately someone in the user community
(jpansarasa) has written a GroovyScript driver and posted it on GitHub
at
https://github.com/jpansarasa/SmartThings/blob/master/DeviceTypes/AeotecHDSS.groovy
If you log in to https://graph.api.smartthings.com/ and click on the My
Device Types tab you can then click the New SmartDevice button and then
click the From Code tab. After that you can paste the GitHub code into
the edit box. You then need to save and publish the device driver.

Thank you! That worked great and it was awesome that you helped me out.

Side note: Iā€™m using this to contol a high wattage pool pump and switch a dedicated 20 amp circuit, but the pump is actually only 110v where this switch is 220v. So I hooked the switch to a 220v breaker to power the switch itself, and then ran only a single hot ā€˜legā€™ off the switch output towards the pump. This gives the pump 110v and it switches on and off perfectly. The downside however is that watt/amp measurements are all 0. I assume amps are measured between the two hot output legs and only drawing power from one leg defeats the switches abilty to do measurements.

I plan to use the spare hot leg for a seperate 110v circuit for pool lights, Iā€™m not really sure if I can get away with driving two seperate 110v circuits through this single 220v switch? I had trouble finding a 110v switch rated for 20 amps and settled on thisā€¦ thoughts anyone?

compatible with Pioneer speakers. I have a Pioneer VSX-80 elite home theater system along with 2 pioneer XW-SMA4 and one XW-SMA3. they are all connected to the wifi. is there any way of connecting them?

Some type of numeric Keypad this way we can set various modes with codes. Also nice for activating and deactivating alarm mode

Suggest to add BLE smart plug, such as bPointā€™s Smart Plug Bluetooth 4.0 Power Outlet On/Off Switch (http://www.bpoint.com.tw/en/products/plug; http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMIL3L2). bPointā€™s smart plug has Zigbee version too.

+1 on the Liftmaster MyQ

An official integration was supposedly coming, but it has been months since that announcement and just another expectation that wasnā€™t met. With the help of @essidle original efforts, I have a wonderful integration that works perfectly (smartSense multi is required however).
