I have the ratgdo on order as well. It uses mqtt - it should be capable of integrating to Smartthings, allowing control of the garage door again.

Integration Solutions using MQTT

I’d like to share some projects I’ve been working on that provide some nice integration options between SmartThings and other external applications. These use MQTT, which if you’re not familiar with, you can find plenty of information about on the internet. Put simply, you install what’s called an MQTT Broker application onto an always-on computer on your LAN (‘Mosquitto’ is one of the more popular free ones), and it provides a structured way to publish and subscribe to messages across devices and applications. This provides a nice solution to being able to get device information into, and out of SmartThings in a consistent and reliable way with little-to-no development expertise required. would it be possible to run the MyQ app in a Docker container as an Android device

It is highly unlikely - MYQ has effectively sealed off their API. They are using a cloudflare smart AI bot detection program to block any unauthorized acess to their API that is not through their “official” app or “official” partners. From a developer standpoint, it is difficult to beat, and even if one does, it likely would only work temporarily until the skynet like AI adapts and blocks it again. With MYQ/Chamberlain doing this to basically force people into their subscription services or see their ads, I would recommend to anyone to avoid this product. A smartthings direct partner integration would be the ideal solution, but even if that happens - expect a subscription fee. The tesla subscription fee for garage door control is running $45 a year.
