Thank you for the quick response. I will give a try including the devices again from a close range (I did it several times but from a longer distance). Then I install the CLI and let you know.
Thanks again
@philh30 I tried to delete and add one of the outlets in question, this time with the hub connected very close to it with the same result. Attached is my screen from the ST app for the device, that goes offline after a couple of minutes
Then I installed CLI and here are both captures showing it in the device list, and receiving traffic when I open the tile even it is offline
Hope this help
Will these Edge drivers work with the JASCO 14285 Z-Wave 40Amp switch for Water Heaters, pools etc?
I use one with my water heater. And currently, there is no driver option in smartThings when I look. My hub recently updated to 45.xx and Iâve been having laggy problems with my other, regular, Z-Wave wall switches. But those have a driver listed in smartThings. Prior to this change my Z-wave switches turned on/off instantly. But now there is a several second lag. And I am just trying to be proactive with the Z-Wave switch for my water heater. Hoping it wonât have the same laggy issues as my Z-Wave wall switches.
Anyone aware of or working on the LED indicator setting not working on the 14287 GE Fan switch? It doesnât change the behavior no matter the setting.
Jasco firmware release notes show that LED control (parameter 3) was add with FW 5.24. Jasco firmware is available in the repo below. ST hubs donât support z-wave firmware updates though, so you would need a different controller (like the Zooz USB z-wave stick) and software to run it (such as PC Controller, which is a free download). Always the potential to brick the device, so update at your own risk.
Phil is correct the entire reason Jasco released that specific FW is to fix the bug with the LED. You have to update your device to get it to work.
The logs show the driver sending a message to the device asking it for its current status (I assume you swiped down in the app to trigger a refresh), but no response from the device is shown in the snip you posted. If the next few seconds of activity after what you posted shows anything received from the device then that would be helpful. Another thing to try is toggling the physical button on the device while running logcat.
Thereâs one fingerprint for a 14285 currently included in this driver. Itâs the very last one listed here. Let me know if your fingerprint is different.
If your others are laggy then this one probably will be too. There are a lot of people having trouble with overloaded hubs - the v3 especially doesnât have the specs to run too much now that everything is local processing. Itâs also possible that your z-wave mesh is disrupted if youâve been excluding/including your repeaters to shift from DTH to Edge. Either way, this driver wonât fix whatever your problem is.
Phil,
How do you set up those associated groups? Like what do I put in there? Can maybe share screenshot as an example. I just donât know how to add IDs in there. Thanks for the help.
You put in the device ID of the device(s) you want to mirror the behavior of the configured device.
You can use the ST CLI or the API Browser from @TAustin to find the ID for devices.
Hi, I must be missing something. I have 3 different switches (14294, 46201, 46562) and every one of them has the âbuttonâ tile in ST UI that simply says âstandbyâ. It cannot be pressed and doesnât change itâs status. What is the purpose of this tile? Thanks!
Double tap on the physical switch and you should see a double tap button event. Depending on the vintage of the switch, you may also see single and triple tap events. The button events can be used in automations to do other scenes - activate a scene, turn on other lights, etc.
Thank you so much for putting these drivers together! Was curious if you had implemented Duel Outlet support for the GE ZW4105? When I use your edge drivers and add the device, only a single device shows up and pressing the power button in the ST app turns the power on/off to both outlets at the same time.

This is added. Based on what I could find, it appears to be a dimmerâŠ

Iâm pretty ignorant on the whole fingerprinting stuff, frankly.
How do you derive the Manufacturer/product type/product ID from what you gave as Mfg Code/Model?
Google for 027A-B112-261C leads me to Zooz ZEN24 dimmer.with fingerprint 027A/B112/261C as seen in
Thanks! Yes it is a dimmer and your update worked!
It definitely is a GE/Enbrighten switch. It may have been using the zooz drive but Phil fixed it so all is working now.
Iâm not aware of any way to do that with them. They donât have a smart bulb mode and donât support the Protection CC. The closest you can get is putting them in manual mode but someone would still be able to toggle the buttons.
I am getting a âThere was an internal server error.â when I try to enroll in the channel. Is this an issue at Samsung or am I doing something wrong?
