My SBB Fan and Light has being working and even survived a hub reboot and a power outage, the only changes hub firmware 48.2, and updated my phone to iOS16.5 which should not make a difference.
Not sure on this. The iOS always seems to lag Android a bit. The driver doesnāt control much about the presentation. For your recorded remotes, what type are they? Switches? Lights?
I apologize for not sending you logs, life has been busy, and now that I have time I have hit the new 200 device limit.I found out after removing the SBB device. It is imposed on both iOS and Android.
They are RF lights, mainly strip lights.
This morning it seems all of the Bond devices have been removed automatically.
This driver isnāt capable of deleting devices, but the ST linked service is. Are you using the linked service offered by ST? Maybe running both?
Nope, strictly using your driver and have been exclusively essentially since you released it. I believe itās likely due to the other issues I was experiencing where it wouldnāt display in iOS, but would in Android.
Weird. You are probably correct that something odd happened on the ST side. Have you tried re-discovering those same devices?
Iāve got two SBB controlled fans. Last weekend during some storms with intermittent power outages (Hub is on UPS, was just the fans that lost power), my fans lost connectivity as described above. I deleted and got them re-added today. Remotes, Bond app, Amazon, and Google Assistant always worked. Bond app integration was disabled with SmartThings.
Just adding another report. I know youāre working on it. Hub firmware 48.00005.
BTW, to put these into pairing mode, itās not the power button on the remote as described in the initial post, itās the fan speed button on mine.
If it happens again soon Iāll try to pull a log per the above post.
Oh if everyoneās asking Iād like a four speedd control for my extra large dildo if you can keep it alexa handoff control thatād be great and if itās got a really good Haptic Edge driver to go with it yeah just so you get the Earth base lol. Oh just the thought if you could probably have that integrate with the moisture detector just so donāt leave on if I fall asleep afterwards

Bond Bridge 2023-08-14.01.01.26.55
- Updates driver to v48 ST apis
- Fixes issue cause by metatable behavior in most recent ST firmware update
Recently integrated Bond with this driver and I am amazed at the functionality I gained doing so! Thanks a bunch for this.
Just having an intermittent issue that is annoying. After a few weeks, I canāt control my bond anymore from smartthings. Devices are not offline, but the bridge does not respond to dimmer changes and devices just spin endlessly when you try and control them. Only fix is to remove the briddge and readd it, which is far from practical. I just updated Bond to the latest beta firmware (3.16) in an attempt to help with the issue, but wondering if thereās something I can do to fix this. Trying to program a routine to run every 15 minutes to trigger an action on the Bond to see if that helps.
Any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I would not recommend doing this. It is rarely a fix for what is going on and makes it impossible to diagnose the issue.
Did you suffer a power outage or anything that would have rebooted both hubs around the same time? Is there anything that would have changed the IP address for either one? If you get this again, I would just restart the ST hub. If you are able to capture log files when it hits this state, that would also be useful.
No noteworthy power outage during the last outage/issue. ST hub is on a UPS, bond is not. IPās are DHCP reserved for both devices so shouldnāt move.
Last time I did try rebooting ST hub to no avail. This time I did not. If thereās another occurence, Iāll try and gather logs as requested.
Thanks a lot!
hey, just curious as to what the benefits from using this bridge vs the official bond integration is? ive been using the official smartthings integration and its been working great.
Does this bridge allow control of the bond if the bond cloud stops working?
Thanks, that solved my issue, but yes, the big downside is to reprogram all the routines.
Does this bridge allow control of the bond if the bond cloud stops working?
This implementation of bond is local, so you can use it without the cloud alltogether if it is down. Itās also more responsive. Honestly, I try and not depend on any cloud services and am building my setup as mostly local
So i tried this out today and although the speed is improved over the official driver, i notice that i cannot use alexa do turn on the light of the fan.
The official bond driver seperates the light and the fan into 2 separate tiles in smartthings, where as this driver puts both into 1 tile and thus it only allows me to control the fan portion itself. I see the only setting is to have both on 1 tile, but is there any way to seperate it as 2 separate devices?
There isnāt an option to split them in the driver. It is one device and the only reason ST has them split is due to an old limitation preventing them from combining them in the past. Then Amazon came along and made the integration to match that. Hopefully Amazon will update their code to support multi-component devices.
In the short term, you can make a virtual switch and sync it to the fan light. Amazon would then be setup for that virtual switch.
Another option would be to create scenes for your fan and then just run those scenes.
To get around this I added the bond skill to alexa and disabled the ST bond devices. I can control the light and fan separately via voice this way.
