Getting ready to integrate Sonoff mini with ST. I’m going to flash with ESP Easy, is the “jumper” that comes with the device necessary for flashing?
I’m seeing other threads talking around connecting to hotspot first by changing “your phone” name to a default Sonoff Wifi/password path. Is this necessary?
Numerous tutorials on Youtube?
My understanding is that you do not need the jumper if you are going to hard wire flash…but you are going to need to be pretty nifty with the soldering iron to access the four tiny points on the board.
If you are going to use Itead’s OTA, then yes, you need a hotspot on your phone, and a Windows pc.
