SmartThings - where color is forbidden

So capital letters and italics are also forbidden?

Well, that logo change is arguably for the better.

I work in advertising and while this new logo doesn’t blow my skirt up, I also don’t have any real problems with it from a design perspective.

Lately, most logos are about simplifying into flatter one color looks, where a few generations of logos back, it was all about three dimensions, gradients, etc.

Anyway, this will in no affect their trademarks, etc. Pretty much every brand does this every so many years these days. Sometimes dramatically, more often in small shifts and phases. Sort of like software updates.
