Not so hard that Best Buy couldn’t get it right. As an Elite Plus member I get access to various sales or services that are either not available to the public or are delayed, and they know if you’re eligible or not for the deal.
I got the notification from Amazon on the Oct - Dec ship date as well. It’s ridiculous if it doesn’t improve dramatically, quickly. I hope that’s just Amazon not having received their shipment from SmartThings, and as soon as they receive it (hopefully in the next few days) the ship date will update.
@Ben Can you provide an update on, possibly, more realistic shipping schedule, or at least confirm the backorder is indeed THREE months?
The backorder is not three months. That’s one of those great made up Amazon shipping dates. Early indications are that Amazon will begin shipping early next week. We’ll post more info as we get it.
Thank you, @Tyler ! That’s reassuring.
Is there a problem with the system it is not letting me complete a purchase as it is saying can’t update your cart??
I too don’t see any upgrade deal. How do we get one?
I just got off the phone with a Samsung rep, following up on my order for the new hub.
He said the new Hub will be available September 7, take 1-3 days to ship, then 7-10 days to be delivered.
Can’t wait!
@Tyler are the preorders for the 2nd deal on backorder or are they shipping today. In my account the order shows Status complete and Shipment State Backorder. I ordered on Aug. 29.
Thanks in advance for reply.
Support told me my preorder would be “shipped within a week”?
Fufillment starts today, shipping in 7-10 days
@Ben I’m from Canada and I preordered the “thankyou” offer kit, forget what you guys called it. Anyway I’m just curious if my order will be in the first set of shipments as the Shipment State says “backordered” in my shop account.
Preorders form the SmartThings shop will begin to be fulfilled today.
Regardless of US or Canada?
I know some other pre-order situations I’ve been in (August Lock) they allowed Canadian preorders but they were prioritized after US deliveries, and in their case essentially until the public launch to ship Canadian pre-orders.
You got it ![]()
The upgrade deal was screwed up by frigging SlickDeals. Really not looking forward to redoing an entire house with 50+ things and custom apps.
You may find that some of these apps can be replaced by some of new offerings
Is there a comprehensive list of what will/will not be a paid feature yet?
With all of the things that are not in their final forms at launch, I don’t want to inadvertently start using something that’s going to cost extra down the road.
Current services will remain free. The premium video-clip notification service, when out of beta, will be offered to everyone at the same price point.
I’ve yet to see anyone complain about the “loyal” customers who posted the offer code all over the internet. That’s who made a “crappy” experience for you.
