Creating this project for a Hub-Connected device allows you to make a formal Publish Request. However, if you created a custom DTH (in your IDE) and want to test it, you only need to self-publish it there.
In the SmartThings app, follow these steps:
- Go to Menu > add > device
- Set your physical device in pairing mode
- Tap on “Scan nearby”.
If the fingerprint included in your DTH is correct, the device will be paired to it.
