SmartThings app folks merging with Samsung Connect app team, or vice versa?

So I know this question is inside baseball. But with the SmartThings app becoming the old Samsung Connect app, how are they distributing the work?

Is the SmartThings team taking over the Samsung app to ensure the app meets the needs of SmartThings users? Or is the Samsung Connect team taking over to push their design, etc.? Or is it a big, happy family of collaboration?
