Are there any reasoably priced options out there yet?
I am looking for something to help with automatically changing the speed of the motor in my garage cooling fan setup (here).
The fan I have is a VenTech VT IF-8
I am just about to buy one of these variable speed controllers…
The only problem with that is that I will only be able to set it in one speed position, and won’t be able to adjust it throughout the day at all. Of course, the ST hub monitors temps in and outside of the garage, and only puts the fan on when the outside temp is cooler than inside the garage.
That part is working very well. However, I also want to be able to adjust the speed of the fan to mitigate over usage of electricity (i.e. sometimes, full-power is way too much, and the same effect would be realized with much less).
I’d like to know if there is anything like this with ‘smartness’ built-in yet (e.g. Z-Wave, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, other).
Does anyone have any leads?
