Set hue color without setting brightness?

I am trying to figure out how to solve a specific problem I am having. I have some movie and night light rules that turn hue bulbs blue and to a dim level. When I go to bed I have those lights turn off. The next time these lamps turn on could come from a slew of different actions.

Is there a way to run a rule or mode or routine that would set the color but not turn them on? In a way I am trying to run a default color scenario.

Take a look at Hue (Re)Connect that will allow you to turn on a hue scene like a normal switch. Maybe that will help do what you want.
