Out of curiosity, did this end up working for you eventually? Did you start getting notifications of your dog barking when sound was made during the scheduled time you set?

No- no luck. No changes on my end.
You have to turn off the TV for the sound sensor to work in the smart things app for dog barking. Hope this helps.
Yes, TV off, but still powered (I cut power at night to save energy). I see the icon that it is listening to barks, but none ever came when I tried to emulate a dog.
An update: I’m having issues with the display in Live TV mode. One of the diagnostics was to reset the hub. Not only did I get another ST hub that I was unaware of, but also, I can now bark and it is registered by the pet life app! Unfortunately, my fake Cat Meows, were not picked up…
Lmaoooo, I love to hear this! Just to confirm, this is the extent of what the sound sensor can do, right? Just dog barking sounds? Still nothing like glass breaking or other types of breaking-in sounds?
Might try to make use of it again and see if I can’t have it at least notify me of sounds when nobody is home. Something like that. I remember back when initially got the TV, even me running back to my room for something I forgot as I’m leaving for work, would send a notification to my phone saying my dog was barking - seemed like any sound, equated to dog barking. Which I guess I could figure something out.

Yes, a very valuable feature, lol. I only tried fake dog barks and cat meows, and it took a bit. I noticed a feature that said, “a lot of barking”, so evidently some filtering as well. I’m glad I’ve got this working, but quite honestly, not sure there is much value here…
