It’s best if your hub is at least 3 m from your Wi-Fi router.
Many people have them closer together, and things work OK. So as @marktheknife suggested, you can try it and see how it goes. It won’t always be obvious if there’s a problem, though, as it might just mean that some messages are missed and get re-transmitted. So you could just end up with a slower less responsive network than you would if they were farther apart.
And as he also mentioned, the channels make a great deal of difference, so you might just be lucky as far as having a set up that is the least likely to cause interference.
So I personally wouldn’t start out with them that close together, but a lot of people do and if it’s not working well you can always move it again.
