Did you get it to work? I added the device handler and smart app though github, and they show up in my ide, but they dont show up on my mobile app
Did you install an instance of the smartapp from the marketplace tab in the mobile app? Check under āmy apps.ā
Thanks Mark, I found it there. But it wonāt find my humidifier. I DLād the wemo app and connecting it to that to see if that would help but ST still wont find it
So I finally got around to setting up my wemo humidifier now that our radiators have turned on for the season. Iām also unable to add the humidifier from within the smartapp. It works fine with the wemo app. @btk any thoughts? Iām using the ālarge roomā humidifier, not sure if thatās the issue. It seems to be pretty much the same thing as the other holmes humidifier w/ wemo, just smaller and with fewer fan settings.
That is the same problem I am having. I was able to get the smartapp on my phone but when i start it and it says itās looking for the humidifier it never finds it. wemo app finds it just fine. Not sure what im doing wrong.

Same here. Both smartapp and device handler installed, published, but no dice on finding the device. I have the regular wemo humidier, not the large room one.
I looked in the IDE live log when trying to install the smartapp again, and it looks like the app is actually finding the humidifier (the mac address and serial # are correct for the wemo humidifer, I blanked them out below), so I wonder why itās not visible within the mobile app? @btk if youāre still around can you comment? Thanks.

Im sure i pasted this wrong but here is the log from mt IDE. It says it found it. I even got the green bar at the top of the app that said it was installed if let it sit there for a minute or two, but when i go to my devices itās not there.

We seem to be SOL as far as a response from the app developer goes. Maybe @kevintierney can help? He got a shoutout in the first post from @btk for writing another Holmes Wemo integration app that this oneās based on.
I think your right. Ill keep working on it and let you know if i figure it out.

Let us know if it works for you, several of us seem to be having issues getting the app to find our humidifier.
I the link must be outdated because I do not have an option in my IDE under My Apps and or My Handlers per the instructions to add github.
