That is the driver already showing as in use by the motion sensor. Do I need to re-pair it for any changes to take effect?

Yes, you need install this driver version and repair device.

You can put the device in pairing mode and install new device with search nearby option with this driver version installed

I have never managed to get that to work with this device. The app never finds it even when the phone and device are on the table next to each other within 3 feet of the hub. I had to reset it last time.

When I came down this morning, as I entered the kitchen the light was automatically switched on even though it was much brighter than the threshold in the routine. On checking, no illuminance change had been recorded since about 10 pm last night. In that period, the lights would have been on for a while in the evening, and it had been daylight for probably nearly an hour. Just after I came down it displayed the first measurement of the day and since then it has shown many, many measurements, sometimes multiple times a minute. There doesn’t appear to be any pattern to it.

This can respond to the new configuration pattern, it sends any change equal to or greater than 1 lux and can send it with a minimum interval of 1 sec, as is the default confirmation of smartthings.

I don’t have that device, but there are motion and illuminance devices, which send luminance values when they detect movement, I don’t know if this one will do it like that too.

That’s what I wondered, but it sends many values when there is no movement, and between 7.24 pm yesterday and 7.26 am today there was a whole load of traffic. It monitors a route from our hallway through the kitchen that leads into the kitchen, to a downstairs bathroom and to the living room, so there would have been heavy traffic in that period.

Another weird thing is that sometimes a sensor drops off the interface. By that I mean I can go to the history and select the dropdown to choose what values to display, it doesn’t always offer all the sensors. I would have answered this earlier, but I was unable to display the luminance values as it wasn’t available for selection.

Sorry to respond so far down the line but do you know a reason why the driver ZigBee Temperature and Child Thermostat Mc does not appear as an option for SNZB-02DR2 for me?I’ve tried changin the driver on an existing device and on a newly added one (one the driver was installed) to no avail. Thanks…

Hi, @ShoreRam
It’s been a while since Mariano has posted publicly, so, I’ll step in to explain why this might be happening:

  1. The option to change a driver assigned to the device checks if the device’s fingerprint is present in the other drivers you have installed in your hub.
    • Or, in other cases, that there’s no generic fingerprint that could also support your device. - Those depend on the clusters supported by the device.
  2. That’s why it shows only some drivers and not all of them.
  3. If the driver you want doesn’t appear in the list, it means it isn’t supported there.

So, what you can do is comment on the post where this driver was shared and ask if Mariano can please add the fingerprint.
I think it’s this one:

You can find those values in the Advanced Users app, in the fields “model” and “manufacturer”.
Mariano also provides a Zigbee thing driver that shows these values in the ST App if you’d like to check this as well.

Thank you very much, I reallu appreciate you taking the time to respond.
