The old Community Wiki was pretty close to what you’re proposing. Nice easy way to consolidate information about custom Groovy drivers and quirks about every device ST could support. Easy for any of us providing drivers or custom device support to update. Quick searching by fingerprint. Sadly no one wanted to take it over.
Other tools have also sprung up but they aren’t quite as rich as a wiki, more like a “driver store”, similar to how custom Control4 drivers are marketed.
The same issues apply when it comes to these things, no one wants to maintain or devote time to these things (for free) for very long, people age out of the environment, life gets in the way, etc. This is even moreso on a shrinking user base like ST has. The amount of posts/questions on this forum is a clear indication of that. The tinkerers keep that type of stuff growing vs just the people with a few smart bulbs they want to control. The WWST device support is “good enough” for 98% of people who end up with ST, even fewer who even have a hub. Back in 2013 when Smart Home was a boom and everyone wanted in on it things were growing but at this point custom drivers on a non hobbiest platform is pretty niche.
Just my opinion.
