Problems With SHM/Routines

Just checking back in, because I’ve not heard any updates, and still unable to set the modes. It’s currently stuck on armed-stay, but doesn’t even show the mode, and always at the “Loading…” screen. We cannot seem to get it to disarm, and it’s pretty frustrating!

BTW, I’ve tried to remove the SHM, and re-added it multiple times, but to no avail :frowning:

I agree "acceptable’ is a better term issues with an emerging tech with a start up - We have choices – I used Vera before ST and they just released a new box that supports zigbee – but its trading one set of pains for another

In the age of social media – especially with a tech device that is in its early adopter phase – hiding issues are not an option

The level of incompetence is striking at ST is striking – they oversold the capabilities of the V2 Hub – constant issues and outages. My alarm going off in the middle of the night is unacceptable – even today it keep moving to an armed state

I know I am venting – appreciate your ear on this – but for the sake of the Samsung brand – which is far more valuable than ST – Samsung needs to either clean house at ST or apply the resources need to make this a viable product

If you take the batteries out it will stop screaming at you? I know, that makes it useless… But at least it will be quietly useless.

You can do what I did. Removed the Siren until the platform is stable again.

Same here. Just removed the Sirens until this get fixed. Now I have a Silent Alarm

Silent alarms are the best! Ask the banks! Lol

I have two devices that have been setup to control our Smart hub. 1 Android and 1 iOS. We have had this system for several months and its all worked great but i think something has changed in the last week maybe the update to the app on the 7th. My android device was hanging on the Dashboard when loading the the system status. It would never load. and now both iOS and Android wont load the Dashboard.

I have reinstalled the apps, I restarted my Hub. nothing is working. I can still go into the My Home section and view my devices there and it seems to be updating accurately. But I am unable to arm or disarm my system or clear alerts due to the Dashboard not loading.

Here is a screenshot http://i.imgur.com/K8la33p.png.

I don’t know what caused this but It has to be related to an update or change on SmartThings end because it was working great and I have made no changes aside from updating the latest mobile app.

Build: 203545. Phone: Samsung SAMSUNG-SM-G930A (6.0.1).

There are multiple threads about this. Samsung is just flatly failing and our expensive venture with them at this point is nothing more than a paperweight.

I have the same issue.

I am having the same problem too.

I removed mine then I reconfigure it now it’s working fine as of right now. Before it would just show loading…

The moderators are not removing your posts. The community has been flagging your posts and they are automatically getting hidden when they reach a certain number of “flags”. In this case the community is making the decision to not want to read the content in your posts.

We do not censor here, but the community at large has every right to choose the content they want on this community.

I know I flagged one your comments. You sure are intense about censorship on a privately owned forum. Just saying.

This isn’t Facebook. And no one uses the better business bureau, lol

Thank you! I’d have flagged him too but everyone beat me too it

As someone who has been flagged before, I can categorically say that it is true.

There’s been other posts removed than the one where I went off originally. There was nothing to “censor” in those other posts. In the first post, where I said I didn’t care if it ended up deleted, I kinda meant it. The others have absolutely no excuse for being removed, nor flagged. But as I said above, for the most “Liked” post in the thread it sure does seem weird that it ends up removed because of some naughty words. I’m going to go off of the assumption that you did not know the others existed in the first place. Thanks for being the forum police, though. Keep up the vigilant work.

The BBB’s database is integrated into the FTC’s database. They use it on a daily basis to investigate consumer complaints. I’ve attended hundreds of conventions where FTC employees have spoken on this topic. Believe what you want but, I can assure you that this is not the case.

May I ask why? No sarcasm, I am legitimately curious.

I spoke too loudly on an Internet forum about a product I purchased? Sorry?

Maybe it was a bad choice of words and clearly you know a lot about this stuff, but I just feel like all these negative comments are not helping the engineers get their work done any faster. It couldn’t be more clear that they are trying to get this resolved. Perhaps in the future there needs to be a dialogue to improve communication, but right now they need our patience and understanding.

I’m not as frustrated about the product being in it’s current state as I am that we are being lied to. At the end of the day we may never know the answer to this question and I suspect we won’t but it certainly feels that way. I don’t think I am alone here in my surmising of this, either. If they told us the real problem and laid out a timetable for a recovery it would be very understandable and we could be assured that someone in that building knows what they are doing. I very much fear that this is not the case. Either by ineptness or by corporate red tape.

I am extremely familiar with data centers, servers, networking, databases, etc. From my short time here, there are plenty of others here also who fit this bill. Aside from the physical evidence we have of everything just flat out not working, this public side of it and communication is being handled in a manner that leads me to believe there is a HUGE mess going on that they do not want to admit to.

It has literally been a week. I’ve had fiber connections cut in half in the middle of a Canadian mountain, with no available access roads, get fixed faster than this AND get live updates on the fix as its happening under a f’ing lake. The absurdity of this is unfathomable. Maybe most people don’t have a gauge on these types of things so it bothers me more than most? I don’t know. There is really no reason for this. NONE.

Armchair diagnoses at it’s finest and no actual evidence to back any of the rest up, this is the problem with your posts which are wildly inaccurate and presumptive.

Since you like to play this game, I’ve worked for one of the largest hosting providers in the world for 10 years, both in our datacenters and currently as a Network Security Architect and despite my self proclaimed experience all I know about ST’s architecture is that I don’t know anything about it. I can makes some assumptions and some wild guesses, but they remain just that, assumptions and wild guesses.

Despite what people think, ST doesn’t owe you or I anything with regards to an explanation of the cause or the effect, all they owe us is a working system, the reasons or the cause make absolutely zero difference whether you or I know them or not.

Your constant accusations of lying are simply because you don’t understand or fully appreciate how things work and have zero evidence to back anything up. I’ve had MULTIPLE posts taken down here by the COMMUNITY, not the moderators and as much as I hate the way Discourse (this ‘forum’) works, it’s what we’ve got so you’re just going to have to deal with it.

Cut fiber connections are EASY to diagnose, there’s either light at the other end or there isn’t and that’s even before you plug in any diagnostic equipment but regardless, it’s not comparable to the situation currently happening with ST. Sorry, you’re experience doesn’t impress or intimidate me.

Look, we’re all frustrated with the situation but your posts are neither constructive or productive and don’t help anyone.
