Problems with on/off with Hue

Thanks Ron, I can appreciate your optimism, and from the all the research I did before buying I share the same optimism in ST’s potential in the long run. Unfortunately folks who aren’t expecting that they are buying a technology as an early adopter, are going to feel a bit betrayed and be looking for some level of accountability and assurance from the company after they buy the product and learn it doesn’t quite live up to its claims. I believe a business that embraces an open framework has a responsibility to be open in every sense of the word.

I’m using firmware 000.013.00013
And I have problem with lamp status, when I override Hue bulb via Hue app, status on ST is not update.

Opposite with SmartPower Outlet. How SmartPower Outlet is the best.
I registered my SmartPower Outlet as garden light and added to ‘Lights & Switches’ on ST app dashboard.
Using SmartPower Outlet, the status is always right, no matter what. Even if I unplug the SmartPower Outlet and send ‘turn on’ command via ST app, the status will say ‘turning on’ since the SmartPower Outlet is unpluged, the status will stay ‘turning on’.
It is different with Hue, if I send ‘turn on’ command the status is change to ON position no matter what actually happen with the bulb. If the bulb is disconnected from it’s place, the status will still show ON condition, which is wrong.

Another example,
I turn on hue bulb via ST app. The bulb is turned on normally, and also turn off, work normally.
But, if I turn on via ST app and then turn it off via Hue app or directly cut off electricity via existing wall switch the status on ST app will not updated.
This make me confuse.

With SmartPower Outlet, It’s never happen.
When I successfully turn it ON via ST lab, and then turn it off directly from button on SmartPower Outlet, the status on ST app is updated.

Why is that ?
Is that because SmartPower Outlet have power measurement ability ?

And it is not what Smartthings offer about ‘Peace Of Mind’.

I agree with @JosephLange

Seems like ST is for developer, not end user.

But, I believe ST will work to make this thing right.
I love Smartthings since from kickstarter, and it’s oke for me to spend more money to import it here to Indonesia

I would be more willing to accept this answer if the Sonos and Hue lights weren’t on the very front page of SmartThings.com. They are advertising their support on the first page of their website, but can’t get either product to work reliably.
