The First Brands Group has declared bankruptcy. Philips, as in Philips Hue, is one of the brands included in the filing. No information about the possible impact on the Philips Hues products.
Hue belongs to Signify, which has nothing to do. The “Philips” brand is used by many companies.

You may be confused. Signify owns Philips Hue and has not declared bankruptcy.
First Brands Group is a global automotive parts company that includes Philips Lumileds Lighting Company is a company that manufactures LED components and lighting products for a variety of applications, including automotive. But again… not to be confused with Philips Hue.
It’s interesting that new Hue lights don’t even say “Philips Hue” in the bulb (just “hue”) and looks like Signify is starting to give more importance to the Hue brand. Apparently they have to pay a license fee to use the Philips brand and at this point they probably don’t need it.
