Culturally speaking, I don’t think that they would be able to reverse a decision like not supporting GE bulbs within a couple of days from the official announcement. I may be wrong…Plus I have to admit I am politically biased, but that’s another topic for a different forum.
Frankly, I would be more concerned about private equity. PE have short term focus, and therefore would be more reluctant to take long term decisions.
True, I sure hope Philips decides to go public with Hue and not sell.
If anyone wants to know… Philips failed to find a buyer for their lightning company and decided to do an IPO in May 2016.
