Osram bulbs - Can it fade? Which DH to use?

I have all types of Osram lightify indoor bulbs in my house I believe
They are all connected to ST.

When connected to the Lightfy hub, they can fade level, meaning in the official app when choosing another level of light, instead of just cutting directly to that level, it makes a smooth transition to the new level in just split second or so. Looks better than just cutting.

But when hooked up to ST, I cannot do the same effect. I’m using CoRE to program a lot of stuff, and it has a “fade” and "fade (level) but they dont do the trick.

I’m thinking either I’m missing a feature in CoRE or I should should use a diffent DH og 3rd, it just cannot fade through ST.

My current used DH:
Color: ZLL RGBW Bulb
Whites: ZLL White Color Temperature Bulb

Small update. I see in IDE when changing DH, that there is a official DH called “Osram lightify turnable white 60w”, but why dont they have any for the colored??

But would that official DH be better than the “ZLL White Color Temperature Bulb”

I think we need to find someone who can modify the code. I have the strips I would like to see get the fade/transition to work.

I also have the gardenspots and recently this DH was released. I have been using it to loop colors and the transition works.

Osram LIGHTIFY GardenSpot Mini rgb - AAP Version A new version of the DTH for Osram GardenSpot Mini rgb lights (based on @Sticks18’s version). This DTH is for directly connecting the US (Z HA) versions to SmartThings. Without the Osram Gateway, the color loop functionality does not work for the US version of the GardenSpots (at least until they update the firmware). But using the “hueLoop” and “hueRandom” attributes of this DTH, one create a CoRE Piston to cause color loop (even random colors) Device Tile contains sliders for individual control of hue, saturation, and transition time. Osram/Sylvania Lightify (it works)

Osram just released a new line of zigbee light bulbs called Lightify. Temperature tunable white only. About $30 each. Here’s the kicker: the Hue bridge won’t pair with them, with or without ST. So either they’re not ZLL certified and don’t know the secret handshake (in which case ST might become able to pair even if Hue bridge can’t) or they’re using the no color temperature tunable device type instead of the no color dimmable device type. (ZLL has a lot of different bulb device classes. ) Or both of the above are true. Anyway, I wouldn’t expect them to work with ST yet, but if someone knows different, let us know. @tyler , is ST supporting all ZLL device classes, or just some? CNET has a detailed comparison with other brands.
