[OBSOLETE] Tesla Powerwall Manager Smart App and Device Handler

thanks for the tips - i tried the Pi options and could not get them to login - oh well. thanks

I agree, we really need this converted or rewritten to work on Smartthings. Hoping somebody will step up and do that. I’d be glad to help fund the work.

i would like to help as well but smartthings itself is a moving target - this code would be better on a device like Raspberry Pi or android phone or similar - a device which will not change over time and continue to work and be reliable. I have been unable to login with the Raspberry Pi PW integration program. Any help appreciated!

Bump for conversion…

  1. Tesla Powerwall Manager Smart App
The Tesla Powerwall Manager app is a smart application that helps manage your home battery pack. You can easily monitor its status and performance. You can also control charging and discharging remotely from anywhere using your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Tesla Powerwall Device Handler
The Tesla Powerwall device handler is a small box that plugs into any outlet and provides power to devices connected to it. It can charge the Tesla Powerwall battery pack and provide backup power to connected appliances.

I probably don’t have the programming chops to do this, but wondering if anyone thinks it might be possible to use a micropython esp8266 or esp32 or arduino as an intermediary to accept an HTTP Get request from the TAustin Web Requestor ([ST Edge] Web Requestor: a driver to issue local POST and GET HTTP requests - #472 by kkfh) and the microprocessor could make the local network request to the Powerwall Gateway, and send back the response that could be parsed for things like state of charge, instantaneous power, solar, etc? I think the barrier to this in the past was that the gateway didn’t have a valid certificate? But with python libraries like teslapy, if it can run from micropython, this might be possible, and less work than maintaining an OS image on a raspberry pi? (And cheaper and more available given the dearth of Rpi stock?)

it seems like the PW automation program for Smartthings has stopped working due to changes by Samsung. Can you confirm this or is there a way to make it work? right now it does not accept the token. if it cannot work can you please reccomend someone who can help me setup TeslaPy? i have tried and can’t get it to work. is there anyone who has done it and can give me a quote? urgent - thanks!
