I tried all that… I have a Aeotec Plug… working ok. SOme other qubino devices, ok.
The Neo Cool Cam Plugs stopped. Trying to exclude and include again… it will send voltage reports back to the hub and nothing else… the devices wont accept on or off comands but if I click the physical button it reports back to the hub.
By re-including the devices all 10 config itens are pending and the plugs wont respond.
Tried what you said… disconnect etc… did not work. Very annoying and unreliable.
I have a bunch of the older US ones and just bought some more from the same seller on Amazon. The new ones I just received have a diff prod and model although they look identical.
The ones I bought in Feb are:
zw:L type:1001 mfr:0258 prod:0003 model:0087 ver:3.94 zwv:4.05 lib:03 cc:5E,72,86,85,59,5A,73,70,25,27,71,32,20 role:05 ff:8700 ui:8700
The ones I just bought this week are:
zw:Ls type:1001 mfr:0258 prod:0100 model:1027 ver:2.32 zwv:6.02 lib:03 cc:5E,98,9F,55,6C sec:73,86,85,8E,59,72,5A,25,27,32,71,70 role:05 ff:8700 ui:8700
The manual matches what you consider the “New EU” as far as the advanced config, but this is a US model. I kept getting “7 pending items”. I ended up adding the new fingerprint and changing the contains check from “prod:0200” to “model:1027” in order to get it to see it as a “New” model. Since then, everything works correctly.
Unfortunately, these new US versions seem to be pretty unstable.
I purchased three 3-packs (9 total) of the older US versions that all worked flawlessly.
I purchased one 3-pack of the new US version and one of them was stuck ON no matter what the z-wave control said. Re-pairing and factory resetting didn’t help. I could turn it on/off from z-wave but the actual outlet was always providing power. I returned the pack and got a replacement. With the new pack, two of the three will randomly reboot, which turns the attached device off/on every once in a while. Sometimes it happens after a few hours, other times it happens multiple times in a few minutes. This is with something like 8w LED lamps plugged in. Happens even when the outlet is off or nothing is plugged into it. Very annoying, so I will probably be returning this pack as well.
I know some smart plugs are unreliable if the wattage is below a certain number, but I’m not sure if this device has that problem. I think the minimum requirement for those other devices was somewhere around 15w which is annoying become most LED bulbs are below that…
That is possible with the newer ones. The older 9 I have all have <10w LED lighting plugged into them as well and have not had an issue. Most of them are just tiny LED accent lighting around the house or various table lamps with single LED bulbs. With the newer ones, I have 2 identical table lamps with identical LED bulbs and one has worked perfect while the other randomly reboots and sometimes hangs and has to be unplugged to work again. When it hangs even the manual button won’t work. I emailed the seller on AZ and they said they would forward on to the engineer. I have not heard back from them in a week, so I returned the second set of 3 switches as well since 2 of them were randomly rebooting. So out of the 6 newer model switches I had tried out, 3 of them had issues. Seems like they have some quality control issues on either parts or manufacturing. They did email me a pdf manual which is different than the one that came with the plugs. Mostly the same information, but with a little more detail.
I found the original version of the NEO Plug more reliable than the similar devices made by other companies. With those devices I kept running into an issue where it would stop responding and the led would turn white, but that’s not a color in the manual and the engineers couldn’t explain it.
I don’t have the new NEO model, but I know they completely changed the firmware so maybe they broke something.
I’ve found the Zooz Smart Plug and Zooz Double Plug extremely reliable and I believe they’re similarly priced…
Hi all;
I have installed the DH from thie thread.
my UI looks different. I only have on/off. none of the extra feature I do not see in the configuration.
can someone guess why? I have the EU version of this plug and I am also new to smartthtings so maybe I am doing something wrong. the device was identify as a zwave device not as neocoolcam (i ahve change the name and icon).
thanks.
see ui attached
update: apperantly the issue was the distance between the hub and the neocoolcam
after excluding and putting the hub physicaly right on the zwave device and including it
identified correctly
