Once you Save and Publish For Me from the IDE, you should be able to find it by going to the Dashboard and tapping the + icon at the bottom of the screen. Then go to My Apps on the slider all the way to the right and it should be available from there.
Thanks, but this is just for apps, correct? In this particular case, the Device Type code was changed and is getting updated almost daily to troubleshoot the issues. Do you need to remove the device type, device and re-add?, or can you just update the Device Types code in IDE and re-publish?
@steveganz I don’t have My apps as an option which could be the issue. Below is what I see in order:
Things
Alerts
Actions
More - I checked convenience in here and nothing.
Thanks
Anthony
Yes. I was replying to @antman2 with the above post, but when you update an existing app or device type with a new version, you only need to Save and Publish For Me for it to take effect.
Thanks. You’ve saved me the trouble of re-doing all my devices and apps everytime new code gets released Now if I only I can get my garage door status to work
I am getting a second sensor later for my other door and I am curious to see how that behavior will play out.
@steveganz so just an update. Lucky I never updated my iPad to the new ST’s app, since the old version still has my apps as an option. I was able to install with my iPad and now my iPhone is showing the New Apps Tab on the dashboard. Anyway all is perfect thank you!
thanks for all your help

Just an update. I added a second door to MyQ and the same issue is with this one with door status “unknown” and the refresh status not occurring automatically.

Are you using the MyQ app to open your garage or are you using the ST’s app??
I’m noticing with my experience that if the garage is opened or closed from the MyQ app then it throws ST’s in a tailspin! Now if I use just ST’s then everything works just fine (from what I’ve seen so far) and the UNKNOWN isn’t an issue.
Just throwing that out there for you or anyone who might see this.
I’ve updated to the latest code. I use the Smartthings app and Mine does the same thing with unknown status after opening. I have to launch the MyQ app to close the garage door…
Notifications only work if the smartthings app is open
Using the smartthings app to open the door but then need to use myq app to close it since it goes into Unknown status
So long as you guys have the latest codes then you should be able to open and close from ST’s ONLY without getting the UNKNOWN status. At least that’s my experiance using iOS.
If you open the garage door with ST’s and close it with MyQ app then it throws ST’s into a spin. I found this out last night when I got home. I installed ridiculous garage door opener so when I get home it’ll open the garage door on arrival with all my locks. When I got the text that the garage was open for 5 minutes, I went into the garage and shut the door manually. Doing that threw ST’s into a frenzy and I even got the UNKNOWN door status in the ST’s app. ST’s thought the door was still open even though it was shut. There was nothing I could do in the ST’s app to change that status. So I opened the door manually and then shut it with the ST’s app and it worked. It seems like if you want this to work with the code that was provided to us, then you need to use ST’s only. Again just my experiance.
I’m sure @essidle could give you much better technical advice then I can. I’m just sharing what works and doesn’t work from my experiance.
Problem is opening the door with the smartthings app works and then gets stuck in an unknown state. Then we can’t close the door with the smartthings app and we have to use the MyQ app.
I wonder if it’s because we are using the MyQ garage that we are having this problem.
You have the most recent update right? I had that same exact issue before I updated.
What do you mean using the MyQ gateway?? I think you need to keep this on your network in order for ST’s to operate the MyQ garage. I’m not 100% sure nor am I a programmer LOL, just sharing my personal experiences. Once Adam gets around to it I’m sure him or someone will respond with our questions and experiences.
I think we’re all using the MyQ Internet Gateway, right? http://www.chamberlain.com/smartphone-control-products/smartphone-connectivity/myq-internet-gateway
Or are some using the MyQ Garage? http://www.chamberlain.com/smartphone-control-products/myq-garage/model-myq-g0201?
I am using the MyQ Garage: http://www.chamberlain.com/smartphone-control-products/myq-garage/model-myq-g0201
Maybe this is the issue? @dbmet What are you using?
I have the most recent update, and it didn’t resolve the issues.
Sorry called it wrong name. I’m using the MyQ garage same as @mbhelfman
I’m using the MyQ Internet Gateway not the MyQ Garage!
So maybe we are starting to see why this might be an issue for some of us. Is anyone using the MyQ Garage that has this completely working?
I think that’s possible why we’re having problems. Must be some difference in the devices
