Was just wondering, why use these sensors. Why not just smartthings where there is no need for troubleshooting and less reliability.?

Honestly, I got this sensor before there were many other good options. I wouldn’t do it again.

@Dechlan_jacobs peri sally for me the Hue sensors are much better at detecting motion than the older ST motion sensor. However the big reason is lux- ST doesn’t have lux capability on the sensor

I have version two motion sensors and they oil great.
Can I ask Wat examples would you up for lux .

Would you not just use sun set or a timer?

sorry, new to all this. ive installed the 2 device handlers, however what next? could you please add some install steps to the first post?

I have been using it for a while now, and works great but is reporting light changes every 5 minutos or so, I would like to remove the light reporting, Is there a way to that? I believe is draining the battery, 10% each month.

Is it possible to stop the device from reporting the light?

By the way, use the vid generic-motion-4 to get lux in the new app

Hi All,

Great work with the Hue sensor!

Just unboxed mine, up and running in ST within 5min, fantastic!

Only think iv noticed is the original description states it should flash the red LED when motion is detected, mine does not, I know motion detection is working as i am getting push notifications, but i would really like this to still do the red flash for anybody poking about outside…

Any thoughts on how i might resolve this would be much appreciated.

I’m having the same issue, recently I cannot get it to display the red LED.

Currently the sensor updates the lighting when it detects motion, or every 5 minutes.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the DTH so that the sensor refreshes the lighting even when it switches from motion detected to motion inactive? Is there also a way to force the sensor to refresh the lighting (like a command via webcore)?
